Thank you!

Thank you to everyone who offered information on zipper sources.  I found some zippers on eBay from Zipperstop that hopefully will work out.  I also found zippers on SewTrue this afternoon and decided to order two from them also.  They should arrive this week and with my upcoming holiday/vacation next week I should be a go to make this jacket.

I have finished some hand sewing things I needed to do with the recent Butterick skirt.  I will plan to take some photos of me wearing the latest skirt.

After I complete the jacket I want to work on some tops and another skirt or two.  More updates later.

Ebay purchase

Have you heard or do you use the Lutterloh system? My curiosity about this system final got to me. I wasn't sure if I wanted to spend the price for this system so decided to check out Ebay. I won an auction last weekend for this,a somewhat lesser price, and it arrived yesterday. It is an interesting concept for drafting a pattern.

If you have experience with the program, leave me a comment on how well or not the system worked for a pattern draft and other information.

This will be a new project for me in the next few weeks. I am still going to work on the BWOF pattern to get it to fit right.

New Vintage/Retro Patterns

I just uploaded my latest Vintage/Retro patterns purchases. I acquired them from an eBay seller from whom I have purchased before. The Butterick pattern is similar to the Simplicity pattern I have been searching for. I like the jacket that comes with this dress as well.

The other two patterns are 1960's ones. I recently saw a dress in Dillard's that was very similar to the red one on this McCall's pattern. The one at Dillard's was in two shades of brown. The other McCall's pattern is a similar style but with some noticeable differences.

Merry Wheel

I first saw this Merry Wheel on Cidell's blog Miss Celie Pants. We exchanged an email about it and I saw the "pink one" that someone else had. I have had a search for this on eBay ever since. I recently got a response that a seller had one to sell. I immediately jumped on it. I was bidding against one other buyer and I won!!!!

Now there are two more of these spool holders on eBay. Go figure!

I was concerned about getting this as I noted in a previous post. But the item came on Saturday and I won the bid on Wednesday. So quick delivery!
