Returning to work after a holiday can prove to be a long day; it is like a double Monday sometimes. It was nice to come home and find a box on the porch. This was the box

Left side of photo is the wrong side of the fabric and right side of photo is the right side of the fabric. I think I will use both.
This is damask in black with gold floral print. I fell in love with this fabric awhile back and after seeing these pants I decided I had to buy this fabric. I will not be sewing up a pair of pants. I just don’t sew pants, maybe someday but this will either be a skirt which was my original plan all along but it could become a sheath style dress.
When I purchased this fabric I also broke down and purchased a few Style Arc patterns. The postage is a killer but I do like the pattern line and wanted a few of her top patterns. Yeah, like I really need more patterns. I am running out of space now. Such is the life of a fabric-patternaholic.

DeleteShhhew! I made it through without getting the fever to buy whatever fabric you were showing! I've seen this piece in a couple of places on the internet and I can say it's honestly not for me. So I'm happy you have new fabric and I'm doubly happy that I'm not following you! *LOL*
ReplyDeleteI think the metallic knit may be similar to your brown laminated knit fabric. I was a little surprised about this fabric when I opened the bag but I am liking it more and more. Sorry I was not an enabler this time.

ReplyDeleteI was surprised by the metallic knit. It is not quite as it was described, and I am liking it more and more. I really think both sides can be the right side. It is always exciting to open the box and see if what you got is what you wanted.
DeleteGreat fabric. We could be doing a lot worse things than buying patterns and fabric. Plus, it keeps me off the psychiatrists couch!
