In reading through the PR Digest the other morning I read another review for the Kirsten Kimono Tee. This reviewer had taken a deeper seam at the waist area to give the top a little more shape. She also curved the hemline-nice design idea for me to try later. I decided I wanted to take a deeper seam at the waist line also.
After coming home from dinner with DH after work, I decided to sew the deeper waist seam and here are photos of me wearing the top. My after work face look was not presentable for photos so I intentionally cropped off most of my head in the photos. Besides I wanted to show off the top!

I plan to make one more of this top for my upcoming beach trip.
Very nice top on you. I like the kimono style cap sleeve very flattering if you want to keep the top part of your arms covered. I also love the print of the fabric.

I like to cover up some of my arm; with my age and less toned arms, I tend to cover up more and more.
DeleteThanks for providing me with your blog info. I will be stopping by to see your posts. Off to get ready for work now.
DeleteI like it! Very interesting fabric.
ReplyDeletethanks!
DeletePretty on you! I've reworked the Kirsten as well, more room through the torso to add some ease in the bustline. And I lengthened the sleeve to just past the elbow - Maria gives good directions on her website. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteI appreciate reading you lengthened the sleeve as I think that is a nice idea for this top for cooler weather.
DeleteLove the colors and great fit.
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteLooks great. I really like the fabric you used!
