Dress update

As I said previously this dress is presenting a lot of sewing  challenges opportunities.  I really thought I would be further along; but it takes time to do a lot of topstitching.
I attached the bodice lining to the bodice fabric.  There was a lot of trimming and pressing necessary.  I then sewed the side seams per the instructions.  The back is still full at the bottom of the bodice piece.  I think I will undo the side seam and adjust the seam so that I take an additional 1/4 inch on each back seam.  You can see how it looks on Alma Marie.  The back seam was pinned where the zipper would be inserted.Upper bodice attached to lining

  3. What a lovely color! It looks like it's coming along nicely! Hehe.. I always think I'm going to be done with a project way sooner than I really am... I need to stop doing that and just give myself enough time. :)
