I will show you some photos of the dress laying on the cutting table. I just did not want to show off the fit of this great dress without being all "dolled" up to show it off. I promise to take pictures when I wear it to work next week.
This is the dress laying on the cutting table. I wanted to show the ruching on the overlay at the midriff. This will hopefully give you an idea of how the dress would look on.
This is closer look of the midriff.
This is the side seam with the ruching.
I am now ready to start something new and just can't decide what it will be. I will sleep on it tonight.
It looks like a gorgeous dress!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a fabulous dress, indeed! Can't wait to see you in it. I love that pattern. Congrats on finishing your dress!
ReplyDeleteI love that material!
ReplyDeleteThe dress is beautiful. I was wondering what the ruching on the dress would look like. I can't wait to see it on you. I have this dress on my list to make, but I'm hesitant to cut into good fabric because of the waist treatment.
ReplyDeleteI just made the Maggy London version of that dress a week or so ago, with waist ruching, and while it looks like nada on the hanger, it is the most flattering dress on and is so easy to wear. I'm wearing mine with flip flops or bare feet just around the house.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure you'll get lots of complements. Do post a pic of it on when you get one.
Meant to also add that I love your fabric choice.
ReplyDeleteI love the fabric, and I can't wait to see it on you!
