Not Sewing!

I have not been able to move off dead center to finish embroidering my denim RTW jacket. I can't get motivated to cut out patterns or do much of anything. I completed the Christmas Gift Envelopes and that is it.

I go into the sewing room, look around, make a comment about doing this or that and then walk out of the room. I admit I am spending a lot of time here at 'ye olde computer', reading about sewing, fine tuning the blog, buying patterns and yes I bought some fabric from Sewing Studio during their recent Christmas sale. I even talked to a sewing machine dealer about sales she has going on with sewing machines.

Hopefully this dull moment will pass and I will get back in the swing of it.

  1. You're still doing lots of things sewing! We all go through spurts like that - just take a break and you'll be refreshed and ready to go!

BTW, I like the new layout!

  2. The new layout looks nice! It's easy enough for me to read.

I've had sewing lulls in the past as well. It usually happens when I've been sewing the same thing over and over again (like purses). The good news is that it will end! And you'll get your sewing drive back. Hang in there. Blog-reading is a nice place to get some inspiration. :o)

  3. Hey, Linda. I've been remiss in keeping up with people. Love the new blog look! I am so glad you tried the envelopes. Now if I try them you can help me through them! It's so hard to sew when there is so much stress around isn't it. I prefer times when I don't have so many distractions! Miss you. Hope to see you in January!
