This is how the lining looks. I can see how silk charmeuse would be a great choice for this technique. My lining is a polyester which I am "making it work".

I'm so glad you're showing the steps to quilting a lining. I am making a jacket from boucle. I've already block fused the interfacing, so it might be too late to quilt the lining. However, I'm understanding the process much more.
