I am not sewing!

I just can't seem to get it in gear. I cut out a jacket pattern and it is on the sewing table staring back at me. I just can't get in there to sew.

The can't is I don't have the mojo to go; my time to devote to it is limited; doing other things that I have to do and a want to do. Sewing is just not making its way to the top.

I am thinking about it though. I am looking at fabrics, blogs, pattern reviews, etc. That time could be spent sewing, but........

  1. I think this happens to all of us from time to time; you shouldn't feel bad about it, sometimes we need a break!

  2. I feel your pain - I've been there too. Sometimes, I challenge myself to sew one seam and after that if I'm still not feeling it, I can quit. Usually though, once I get one seam done, I want to sew more. I hope your sewing funk passes quickly.

  3. As the others said, it happens to all of us. My advice is to use this time to get your machine(s) cleaned/serviced if they need it since you won't miss not having them for a week (vs. when you do get your mojo back and that week would be an eternity...).

  4. Linda, I'm in the same boat. I'm attending the ASG national conference later this month and am hoping I get inspired there.

  5. After all those lovely quilts last night maybe you are inspired now. It inspired me to want to quilt, when I finish weeding the garden, mopping the floors, washing the laundry...sigh, well at least I can dream! LOL!
