Still a work in progress

This is the front of the dress.  I still need to take up the side seams a little more through the waist area to have a little essence of waist.  This is really a shift (sack) dress.  I still need to add the bias binding at the neck, hem the sleeves and the dress.

Here is a shot of the back of the dress and will need to add hook and eye.

  2. I really like the dress. The color blocking looks wonderful. Thanks for sharing about the need to give the dress some waist shaping. I am always hesitant to sew a shift dress because of shape.

    1. It really does need some essence of waist for me and reading some others reviews they have said pretty much the same thing.

  3. Pretty colors. I recently purchased that pattern, but haven't settled on colors - plus sewing time is at a premium right now.

    1. Thank you. You also picked this color combination for me when you commented a few post back. The pink and lavender is a break away from my usual colors of warm shades like orange, yellow and green.
